I am an author, speaker, advocate, and survivor dedicated to raising awareness about emotional abuse and the often-overlooked impact of the silent treatment. Drawing from my personal experience of overcoming a twenty-year marriage marked by emotional neglect and silence used as punishment, I work to help others recognize forms of abuse that may leave no visible scars yet can have lasting emotional effects. Through education, storytelling, and advocacy, I encourage survivors to better understand their experiences, reclaim their voices, and pursue healing.
My journey of recovery was shaped by faith, reflection, and the healing power of journaling, ultimately inspiring my memoir, Breaking Free From the Mirage: Unmasking the Abuse Hidden in Silence. Through my writing and speaking engagements, I share a message of resilience, hope, and empowerment with audiences across the United States. When I am not writing or speaking, I enjoy serving in my church, spending time with my family, and finding peace in my garden.
